Jeff Scot Philips was the CEO of a health food manufacturing company, has worked as a fitness professional & nutritionist, and is the author of Big Fat Food Fraud.
Jeff has worked with professional athletes—from bodybuilders, to MMA fighters, and UVA football players—and was the official nutrition consultant to the Miss Virginia organization, where he worked with the new Miss VA each year as she prepared for Miss America.
In 2009, he started a healthy meal company, Fit Food, where he worked with chefs to prepare ready-to-eat meals for his clients, and grew the business organically over the next few years. In 2012, he took on investors and turned the business into a private labeling company, preparing meals under other brands’ names and then drop-shipping orders on their behalf.
In late 2016, after leaving the company, Jeff published Big Fat Food Fraud, an exposé detailing all the corruption that goes on inside the health food industry. And he’s now working on a new book that exposes the lack of regulation in the supplement industry, to show that the products we take for our health are, at best, not helping us, and at their worst, actively harming us.
